This is lovely. So calm and peaceful...though, frankly, I'm getting tired of blue and brown combos everywhere.

Love the fabric over the bed. Are you thinking of doing that?

We have an awkward room, with either windows or doors on every wall...so I am not able to put a big fabric panel on any wall...no matter how we position it, our bed will have to be in front of a window, so I thought I could do a dramatic drape with a fabric headboard.

I am worried that the blue/brown that I love so much is perceived as too trendy and dated. So I am thinking the colors of the other room...more greenish with natural color linen & tiny touches of yellow and teal might be better.

No, no, no. Go with what you love. There really isn't any point otherwise. And by the time you get it to your staisfaction, it won't be trendy anymore. Trust me.

A color scheme is "dated" only if you and other stakeholders in your bedroom think it is. You're dealing with an ongoing husband rather than a series of hunks-of-the-week, so the entire number of people who need to feel good with blue-and-brown is two.

One advantage of a "trendy" color scheme is that you have such a wide range of choices in bedding and other necessities! As long as you keep liking it when the trend is over, your color scheme's moment of hotness is an excellent moment to stock up.
